Constructional Hardwoods

English hardwoods for English structures are Whitmore's speciality.

Home grown oak, was supplied by us for the magnificent restoration of Abbey Barn in Glastonbury. We also stock some softwoods, such as larch. Take a look at Inn The Park, St James' Park in London which has recently been completed with Whitmore's supplied timber.

Our construction hardwoods are used in building restoration, new construction projects, flooring, sea defences, rivers, canals, as well as boatbuilding, fencing and gates. We stock an extensive range of construction sizes, especially in English and Continental oak, in lengths up to 50 ft suitable for Churches, Inns, and country houses. One recently completed oak restoration job is Middleton Hall near Tamworth in Staffordshire. Whitmore's supplied a custom specification of oak throughout the project period.

Our graders are full trained to grade to BS:5756(2007). We also stock beams that have already been graded for immediate delivery.
